Frederick County land transactions

Julie sent the following to the Shenandoah Mail list yesterday.  She gave me permission to post it on this blog so that I could add comments and maps and etc.  For my buddies who follow this blog, Patrick Duncan is mentioned in deed abstracts.  I can not remember if I already have that land transaction or not.  I will read and comment.

I rented the LDS film that had an index of Frederick co, deeds - below is my list of the entries.

My interest in EDWARDS is when Peter EDWARDS married Elizabeth LEHEW before 1787 in Shenandoah County,VA.  If anyone can add to this information it would be greatly appreciated.  Surnames of heirs in his will are LUCAS and STEPHENSON (no Edwards)

There are abstracts that I got from lookup requests after the list

Good luck
Julie

Comment from Marsha Moses
So on the property lands that I have on my main blog:

http://marshamoses.blogspot.com/2012/07/mckinney-and-geertsema-map.html

I am wondering if this Joseph Edwards Jun is neighbor to George McKenny instead of Patrick Duncan. This certainly looks like the same land with same neighbors.

There are some Edwards in the neighborhood of George McKinsey in Newberry County:  John Edwards has 350 acres 23 July 1766, Samuel Edwards has 190 acres 22 Sept 1784 next door to Nelson Duncan/Darkett 12 Aug 1772....His other neighbors are Peter Hawkins (who married Prudence Thomas --I suspect she is possible daughter of Edward Thomas of Old Frederick County--John Dobbins, Joseph Wright.  In parentheses on Samuel Edwards is (David Edwards Peter Julian).  I do not see a Joseph Edwards.
